Cream First or Last?

Here's one for you drip coffee drinkers and pourers...

Does it matter if you pour the cream in first or last for the coffee to stay hot longer?

I have done some research and even though I haven't seen a significance of either option, I have read that studies show pouring the cream in last helps drip coffee maintain temp. longer. Who knows?

Thoughts...

You should add your cream and sugar immediately.

This is the conclusion from some complicated physics (for me at least) that relates to how fast things cool down.

Of course I've always thought it was a good idea to have a microwave nearby.Wink

I am with you on that one!

I have read and discussed many a different views on this silly little issue, if you will. I think from experience

that would be my choice...add the cream and/or sugar right away!

I did get this discussion idea, however, from a really informative book:

GREAT COFFEE by Kevin Sinnott

Available at Barnes and Noble.

(a small shameless plug, ha ha!)

Drink it black indeed

Good coffee is naturally sweet with the desirable "bitter" profile. Why add calories. It does not need it.
